Translated from <> (defunct):
"The flag is a rectangle divided into five horizontal stripes in turn green and white. The five bars recall the flag of the province of Guayaquil. The green colour, in major proportion, was preferred to represent the soil fecundity and agriculture. In the extreme left part of the flag is placed a yellow triangle symbolizing the wealth generated by the work of the inhabitants. A triangle in such a placement is little frequent and very visible. The colours were approved by the municipal council. The canton's  flag, coat of arms and anthem were adopted on 10 August 1996".

Image of the flag at <>. I have draw this flag and have taken the cloth to an uniform ratio of 1:2. Flag adopted on 10 August 1996; Canton established 28 January 1992.

At another page at the same site <> (defunct), the flag (and flag on Coat of Arms) appears with yellow triangle which is in consisting with the description in <> (defunct) as: "triángulo amarillo"...

I think the flag has a yellow triangle. It is logical.
