Bernbeuren Coat of Arms

Renaissance shield parted per fess, above Gules parted by a cross Argent, beneath Argent a triplemount issuant Gules.
Meaning: The cross is an attribute of St. George, patron saint of the pilgrimage church on the Auerberg, a mountain higher than 1000m above sea level. The mountain, today a well-known view point, itself is represented by the triplemount. The tinctures are those of the Bishopric of Augsburg, the former local ruler.
