The subcounty has no proper symbols. Mönchgut is a peninsula on the southeast end of Rügen and Granitz is the wood north of the peninsula.

Shield Azure with base wavy chequered of Argent and Gules, on its top a Viking ship Argent.
Meaning:
The base displays a Cistercian bar and is alluding to the fact that Baabe belonged to the Cistercian Abbey of Eldena until 1535. The ship might refer to the fact that Baabe together with Rügen Island had been a Danish fiefdom for more than 150 years.
