Bösingen Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale by a halberd Argent stemmed Or, at dexter Sable, a sinister facing demi-horse forcene Argent, at sinister Azure a lion rampant Or holding the halberd.
On 1 October the old Bösingen municipality merged with Herrenzimmern. The dexter half displays a modification of the former arms of Bösingen, based on a seal of Berthold of Justingen. The Lords of Justingen had been local rulers in Bösingen in the 14th and 15th century. The direction of the horse was changed in the new arms. Lion and halberd were taken from the arms of the Lords of Zimmern, local rulers in Herrenzimmern from the 11th century until 1513.

Banner and arms were approved on 10 March 1989 by the county administration, published inGABl 541/1989. The former arms had been approved in Bösingen proper in 1933 and in Herrenzimmern in 1939.
