Bad Eilsen Coat of Arms

Shield Gules between two poplars Argent seven columns of the same under an architrave, over all in base a fountain Or with water effervescence Argent, in central chief a nettle leaf Argent charged with a heraldic rose Gules seeded Or and barbed Vert.
Meaning:
Otto Hupp designed city arms in 1930 as follows: Shield Gules a (big) nettle leaf Argent, charged with an inescutcheon Azure displaying fountain and building, however with just five columns. Fountain and building are symbolising the sulphur springs and the status of a spa. The nettle-leaf is alluding to the rule of the Princes of Schaumburg-Lippe. In 1950 the amrs were slightly redesigned. The rose of Lippe was added on the nettle leaf, to make the arms similar to the arms of the former Schaumburg-Lippe County. The poplars are blazoned simply as deciduous trees.
