Nordheim Coat of Arms

Shield parted per fess, above Gules an embowed sinister facing trout Argent, beneath Argent parted by a facetted cross patty Sable.
Meaning:
The cross patty is taken from the arms of the Fulda Imperial Abbey, to which the village belonged since the 8th century. The trout is taken from the family arms of the Barons of Thann, who played an important role in the past. Among others the family built two local castles, the yellow castle (16th century) and the white castle, built from 1651 until 1668.
