Straubenhardt Coat of Arms

Shield quartered of Azure and Argent, the Argent quarters are charged with a stool Sable having three legs.
Meaning:
The arms are a simplified version of the family arms of the Schöner of Straubenhardt kin. The municipality was formed by a merger of the municipalities of Conweiler, Feldrennach, Langenalb, Schwann and Rudmersbach. All these villages had been established by the Lords of Straubenhardt. Thus the new commune adopted their family name. After their seat had been destroyed, the lords built a new castle in Schwann. The kin died out in 1442 and a the Schöner of Straubenhardt kin gained some parts the local rights and became local rulers. They also ruled Ottenhausen, which was incorporated in 1974.
