Tettenweis Coat of Arms

Shield Argent a fess dancetty paly of four of Sable and Gules, in chief two heraldic roses Azure in fess, in base an attire Sable in fess.
Meaning:
The local district (Bavarian: Hofmark) had been nearly congruent with the current municipality. The fess dancetty is taken from the arms of the Schachner family, who owned the district between 1515 and 1650. The roses are taken from the arms of their successors, the Adlzreiter family, whose arms displayed a bend charged with roses. The attire is taken from the arms of the Barons of Jonner, later elevated to counts. The family owned Tettenweis Manor between the 1720ies and 1870.
