Ruhstorf Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale, at dexter Sable a rectangle Argent in chief, at sinister sinister Or a cogwheel in chief, in base a grain ear parted per pale of Argent and Sable.
Meaning:
Ear and cogwheel are symbolising agriculture and industries as main business lines. The rectangle is taken from the arms of the Lords of Ruhstorf, who lived in the village since the 13th century. They also owned the local Hofmark until 1735.
