Mantel Coat of Arms

Shield Gules a coat Argent seen from the rear with laces of the same and collar Azure.
Meaning:
The arms are canting displaying a coat (German: Mantel). The oldest seal had a strange circumscription "MANTLER GEMEIN", i.e. the municipality of Mantel, although the village had been upgraded to a market town before at the beginning of the 16th century. All town seals displayed the canting coat. The tinctures appeared first in 1811 and were adopted by Otto Hupp and Klemens Stadler.
