Irchenrieth Coat of Arms

Shield Or an embattled tower Gules at dexter and a dragon´s head of the same at sinister, chief Argent parted by three piles Azure in fess.
Meaning:
The three piles are taken from the arms of the Pfreimder family, who owned Trebsau Estate between 1529 and 1706 as subjects under direct rule of the sovereign. The tinctures blue and white are also those of the Landgraviate of Leuchtenberg, to which Irchenrieth belonged. The tower is an attribute of St. Barbara, the local patron saint. The head of the dragon a differentiation of the dragon in the arms of the Cistercian Waldsassen Nunnery, wich had been an important manorial lord for a long time.
