Pommelsbrunn Coat of Arms

Shield parted abased indented; above Argent a double headed eagle, armed Or and parted per pale of Gules and Sable, upon his breast an inescutcheon parted per fess of Argent and Azure, above charged with a demi-bear issuant Sable; beneath Azure.
Meaning:
The double head eagle is representing the two most important local rulers, the Margraves of Ansbach-Bayreuth, represented by the red half, and the Free Imperial City of Nürnberg, represented by the black half. The indented base is referring to the Lords of Ebner-Eschenbach, who had been manorial lords in Eschenbach, which had been incorporated into Pommelsbrunn in 1977. The number of points is representing the seven former municipalities Eschenbach, Hohenstadt, Hubmersberg, Hartmannshof, Arzlohe, Heldmannsberg and Pommelsbrunn proper. The inescutcheon is reminding on the Lords of Lichtenstein. The remains of their castle are still in the municipality. The colours white and blue are those of the Electorate of Bayern.
