Feucht Coat of Arms

Shield Argent, an archer passant, dressed Vert with a shouldered crossbow Or in bend sinister and two arrows of the same in his left hand, the hand also holding an inescutcheon Vert charged with a beehive Or.
Meaning:
Feucht was established in the middle of the Nürnberg Imperial Forest. It became seat of a court of justice of the Zeidler kin, whose members had been imperial vassals. They also had been beekeepers of the forest and were obliged to supply the imperial army with honey and to act as crossbow archers in that army. These privileges were first mentioned in 1296. Until 1999 the dress of the archer had been red. Red and white were considered to be the colours of the Free Imperial City of Nürnberg. Since 1431 Nürnberg had the right, to fortify the market town. The beehive is alluding to beekeeping and displays the arms of the Zeidler kin. In 2000 the colour of the dress of the archer was changed to green.
