Waldkraiburg Coat of Arms

Shield Azure, an eradicated fir Or over a cogwheel Or.
Meaning:
The municipality was founded in 1950 by the merger of the municipalities of Aschau, Pürten, Heldenstein and Fraham and the forest district of Mühldorf-Hart. It became an important industrial site and gained city rights in 1960. The name is derived from the nearby market town of Kraiburg upon Inn and the local High Forest (German: Hochwald). The fir is symbolising the forest, the cogwheel crafts and industries.
