Shield Vert, a church Argent with tower and spire, windows Sable and roofs Gules, in sinister chief a key Argent and a sword Argent in saltire.
Meaning:
In 1043 the German King Heinrich III donated the Regis Estate to the Bishopric of Naumburg. The estate was expanded to a castle. In the 12th century a settlement developed, called a town in 1228, which gained brewing rights in 1536 and full rights of a market town in 1595. Regis had been under the cognisance of Breitingen, a village first mentioned in 1265. Both villages belonged to the bishopric until 1564, when they were acquired by the Electorate of Sachsen. In 1831 Regis gained city rights. On 1 October 1920 Regis and Breitingen merged and the status of a city was confirmed for the new entity. Key and sword were added at the end of the 19th century. They are referring to the bishopric. Furthermore they are attributes of St. Peter and St. Paul, co-patron saints of the cathedral of Naumburg.

The banner, probably plain, was approved in 1920 The arms were as city arms of regis in 1831 and confirmed in 1920.
