Neufahrn Banner

It is a yellow-black-yellow vertical triband. The coat of arms is either missing (see left image above), in a white bannerhead (see central image above) or shifted towards the top (see right image above), which is probably the latest version.

Neufahrn Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale, at dexter Or a bearded pagan issuant Argent with cap Gules and coat Sable with collar Vair, at sinister barry of six of Or and Sable.
Meaning:
The arms are based on the family arms of the Kraus kin, which died out in 1557. The family ruled the local district (Bavarian: Hofmark) since 1510. Sigmund Kraus, commissionaire in Landshut, built the local Renaissance castle, being a landmark of Neufahrn. The arms are known by tombstones in the local church and by seals of the family.

The arms were approved on 25 August 1959 by Minister of Interior of Bayern. The banners maybe in use without approval.
