Bad Abbach Coat of Arms

Shield parted per fess, above lozengy of Argent and Azure, beneath Or three heraldic roses Gules seeded Or ordered 2:1.
Meaning:
The town was ruled by the Wittelsbach kin since the beginning of the 13th century and was first mentioned as a market town in 1224, the rights were granted by Emperor Ludwig the Bavarian. The roses are supposed to be the family arms of the legendary Counts of Abbach, whose historical existence however could not be proven. The upper half displays the arms of Bayern. A town seal was made in 1514 based on the deed describing the arms granted before. The tinctures are known from the rolls of arms of Philipp Apian (1562) and Hans Mieleich (1565) and have since then never changed.

The banner probably is in use without approval. The arms were granted on 25 January 1486 by Duke Albrecht IV of Bayern.
