Gommern Coat of Arms

Shield Azure, a bend sinister Or, flanked by two 6-point stars Or, one in dexter chief, one in sinister base.
Meaning:
The bend is symbolising Ehle River, separating the old city from the new city, symbolised by the two stars.

The arms were approved on 23 May 1993 by district governor (Regierungspräsident) of Magdeburg. Flag and banner were approved on 21 September 1998 by district governor (Regierungspräsident) of Magdeburg.
