Coat of Arms

Shield Or, a triplet of hazelnuts Gules connected in centre, in chief a fess embattled counterembattled Sable.
Meaning:
The hazelnuts are canting elements. "Neuenhaßlau" probably is derived from "Neue Haselau", a meadow with hazelnut trees. The number of hazelnuts is representing the three former municipalities. Before having been overtaken by Hasselroth the symbols were approved as symbols of former Neuenhaßlau municipality on 14 March 1969 by Minister of Interior of Hesse.
