Herbrechtingen Coat of Arms

Shield parted by a bend sinister, chequered of Gules and Argent, above right Gules an 8-spokes wheel Argent, beneath left Argent an 8-spokes wheel Gules.
Meaning:
The chequered bend sinister is symbolising the former Augustinian monastery, founded in the 12th century and abolished in 1557. The two wheels are symbolising pre-historical jewellery found in graves in the municipality. The arms replaced a logo used since 1920, which showed a crozier with a plough and a wheel, symbols of agriculture and industry.

Banner and arms were approved on 9 March 1953 by district governor (Regierungspräsident) of Nord-Württemberg.
