Neckarbischofsheim Coat of Arms

Shield Argent with base Vert, standing on base a bishop, wearing a coat Gules over a tunica Argent,a mitre of Gules and Or, holding a book Or in his left hand and a sinister-bendy crozier Or in his right hand.
Meaning:
The arms are based on a court and city seal from 1766, probably derived from an older seal. The name of the city had been simply "Bischofsheim" until 1806, and the bishop is thus a canting element. Though the village had gained city rights before 1378 by the Lords of Helmstatt, vassals of the Bishopric of Worms, there are no older seals known. In 1806 the city became a dominion of the Margraviate of Baden. The tinctures were fixed in 1950.

The arms are in use since 1898. The banner was approved on 22 February 1963 by Minister of Interior of Baden-Wüttemberg, published in GABl 230/1963.
