Uffing Coat of Arms

Shield Gules, in base a gib Argent, in chief a mitre Or.
Meaning:
The gib, a part probably of a drawbar of a carriage, is taken from the arms of the Tabertshofen kin. Their ancestral seat had been in Tafersthofen Village, nowadays a part of Uffing. The kin owned many estates all over Altbayern, i.e. the districts of Oberpflaz, Oberbayern and Niederbayern, until the 17th century. The arms are known by an epitaph in the parish church of St. Agatha in Uffing. The mitre is reminding on the ephemeral Bishopric of Staffelsee, which existed in the 8th century.
