Introduction: Friesland County

Here is the flag and arms of the Friesland County, state Lower Saxony (Niedersachsen), Germany. Friesland County 1st situated in North of Lower Saxony, on the coast of North Sea west of estuary of Weser river. The county seat is Jever. The flag can be seen at Landkreis Friesland. It has two equally wide horizontal stripes of blue and red, with in center the county arms. The colours blue and red represent the former Oldenburger Land. The arms show the Lion of Jever and the Cross Moline of the Counts of Aldenburg-Bentinck.
