Vörstetten Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale, at dexter Or a bend Gules, at sinister Azure, a crayfish Or and a scythe blade Argent, both in pale and ordered per fess.
Meaning:
The village had been a fiefdom of the Margraviate of Baden-Hachberg around 1400 and became a possession of the Margraves of Baden-Baden in 1415. The first local court seal was made in 1613. The first pattern of a seal however is known from 1741, already displaying the pattern of the current arms, like all later seals. The bend displays the arms of Baden, blade and crayfish are local symbols. About crayfish and blade there are just speculations. The blade might be the actual local symbol while the crayfish is alluding to many small creeks joining the Glotter creek.

The arms were fixed in 1907. The banner was approved on 3 May 1988 by the county administration, published in GABl 689/1988.
