Description of banner:
It is a yellow green vertical bicolour. The elements in the coat of arms are shifted to the top.

Coat of Arms

Description of coat of arms:
The shield is divided per pale. The dexter side shows in a golden (= yellow) field a black, rampant lion armed and tongued red. The sinister side shows in a green field three silver (= white) pitchers in tiangular order two above one.
Meaning:
According to source the arms are based upon a seal from 1543. The lion is symbolizing the dukes of Jülich, the former rulers. The pitchers are symbolizing the importance of pottery in former days.
