Karlsfeld Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale, at dexter Vert a bulrush Argent, at sinister Or a draw well Gules with roof, bucket, wheel and chain.
Meaning:
Karlsfeld was founded on 1 April 1939, when its predecessor Augustenfeld was dissolved. The bulrush and the green colour are alluding to the location in the marshes around Dachau and to its rural character in the past. The oldest part of the municipality is Rothschwaige, first mentioned in the 12th century. It was donated to the Augustine Indersdorf Abbey by the Counts of Dachau. The well (German: Brunnen) is taken from the arms of the Brunner kin, known since the 15th century. Some members of the kin had been provosts of the abbey.
