Burkau Coat of Arms

Shield Azure, a mount issuant of alternating stripes of Or and Azure superimposed by an irregular wavy line Argent, in chief three grain ears Or in fan.
Meaning:
The grain ears are representing the three municipalities Burkau proper, Uhyst at Taucher and Kleinhänchen, which formed current Burkau by a merger. The wavy line is a representation of the fountain of the Schwarze Elster, a river, in the municipality. The mount is symbolising the hilly Lusatian landscape.
