Haigerloch Coat of Arms

Shield parted per fess of Argent and Gules.
Meaning:
Based on market towns beneath the castles on both banks of Eyach River the two settlements were upgraded to the Upper City and the Lower City in the 13th century by the Counts of Hohenberg. The first seals of both cities were made in the 13th century with prints of the Upper City since 1308 and of the Lower City since 1333. Both displayed the parted shield of their rulers from the very beginning. Both cities became dominions of Austria in 1381, were united in 1457 and finally became an Imperial Fiefdom under the sovereignty of the Hohenzollern kin in 1497. The pattern of the seals always remained the same. In the 18th century Haigerloch became seat of the branch line of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen.

Banner and arms were approved on 11 May 1976 by the county administration, published in GABl 315/1977. Haigerloch, Horb upon Neckar and Rottenburg upon Neckar share the same symbols.
