Meaning:
The meaning of Horgau is something like "settlement in the swamps", represented in the arms by the bulrushes. The sinister half displays the family arms of the Rehlingen family, citizens of Augsburg. The family owned the village since the end of the 15th century, also including the village of Bieselbach, which had a proper parish. The family named itself as Horgau and Radau and gained its enobelemnt in 1663.
