Sulzbach-Rosenberg Coat of Arms

Shield Gules six fleur-de-lis Argent ordered 3:2:1.
Meaning:
The arms are derived from the apocryphal arms of the Counts of Kastle and Sulzbach. They are known by prints of the first local city seals from 1341. During the ephemeral rule of the Kings of Böhmen there had been a different seal from 1364, displaying a wall with two towers and a flag displaying the Bohemein lion. The fleur-delis were restored on seals since 1393 and in rolls of arms since 1400. The tinctures always had been red and silver until the 19th century. Only Siebmacher (1856) and Hefner (1862) displayed the fleur-de-lis as golden.
