Eurasburg Coat of Arms

Shield parted per fess embattled, above Azure a post horn Or, beneath Argent an axe Gules and a key Gules in saltire.
Meaning:
Eurasburg is located alongside the road München-Dachau-Augsburg. In 1760 it became seat of an imperial coaching inn, represented by the horn. The station boosted the development of the village. The axe is alluding to the local forest, the other important local business line. The fess embattled is referring to the local motte and canting for the suffix "-burg". The axe is symbolising the importance of forestry. The key is taken from the arms of the Wessobrunn Monastery, which had been an important manorial lord, which also founded the local parish church. The key is also an attribute of St. Peter. Due to a legend the saint had induced Duke Tassilo III of Bayern to found a monastery. The tinctures red and white are those of the Bishopric of Augsburg, another important manorial lord.
