Shield parted by a bend wavy Argent; above left Sable a lion rampant issuant Or, armed, crowned and tongued Gules; beneath right Azure three 6-point stars Or in bend.
Meaning:
Baar was established in 1994 by a merger of Unterbaar, Oberbaar and Heimpersdorf, represented by the stars. They are also reminding on the Barons of Riederer from Paar, who acquired the Baar District (Bavarian: Hofmark) in 1567. The lion is a differentiation of the arms of the Wittelsbach kin. The bend wavy is a representation of the Paar River, name giver of Baar, Unterbaar and Oberbaar.
