Gules, three arrows bendwise
in bend sinister Argent.
Christopher Southworth
This is a case in which both "bendwise" and "in bend"
need to be used. When more than one identical charge is blazoned,
"∼wise" indicates the orientation of the charges, whereas "in
∼" indicates how they are grouped.
Santiago Dotor, 7 January 2000
