The Flag

The city flag for Brest, the capitol of Brest County, was adopted by Presidential Decree No. 659 on December 2nd, 2008. On this flag, the city arms (adopted by the city on January 26, 1991 and registered on June 1st of the same year), appears in the center white bar. Besides the white bar, two blue bars are present on the hoist and fly sections. These bars are of equal length and the overall ratio of the flag is 1x2. There is no specific size for the city arms when used on the flag. The decree can be found at (Russian).
