The flag and arms of Riozinho are prescribed by Municipal Law No. 367 promulgated on 30 August 1994.

Article 1.
§1. The format of the flag is rectangular, so that its width is 0.7 times its length.
I. The color of the flag's background is white. On the edges are inserted two green and yellow stripes, in the shade of the national flag, in respective width 10% and 3% of the flag's width.
II. The coat of arms, placed in the center of the flag, shall have a width of 0.47 of the flag's width.

§2. The coat of arms of Riozinho has the following composition.
I. Approximately rounded in shape, it features in the upper right and left sides grapes of lilac color, recalling wine-growing and the predominant ethnical origin. On the lower lateral sides are plant leaves of flag green color, representing the agricultural diversity of the municipality, protected by a red scroll inscribed with the municipality's name, emphasizing the Republican ideals.
Beneath the name and isolated from the rest of the coat of arms, a red scroll with the municipality's date of emancipation, 10 April 1988.
II. In the shield's center, in the background, in the upper part, a representation of the municipality's hilly topography, in different green shades. A source of blue water representing the municipality's waterfalls, forming river Riozinho that divides the municipality's urban area. In the lateral lower left part, the origin of Riozinho's settlement is represented by two roads crossing river Riozinho heading to the municipality's center. The roads are composed of three stripes, the two outer, white, and the central, light gray. In front of the mountains, on the right and above river Riozinho diverse trees in the lilac colors of the grapes symbolizing the diversity of the native vegetation and fruit growing in the municipality, on a light yellow fertile soil that projects to the river's lower part.
In the shield's lower part, above the name, a golden yellow five-cogged wheel, representing the force of industry. In the shield's upper part, above the mountains, a light blue sky.
