Municipality

The municipality of Nova Bréscia (3,184 inhabitants in 2010; 10,282 ha) is located 120 km of Porto Alegre.

Nova Bréscia was settled in 1895 by the De Maman, Mezacasa, Casaril and Daroit families, originating from Brescia (Lombardy, Italy) and coming from Bento Gonçalves, Antonio Prado and Veranópolis. The urban nucleus was established in 1902 by Santo Titton, João Dalnora, Felisberto de Freitas and João Machado.

The coat of arms is placed on a white square with rounded corners, on a white disc, or on a white mix of a disc (top) and square with rounded corners (bottom).
