About the Flag

The municipality of Palotina (32,121 inhabitants in 2020; 65,124 ha) is located 600 km west of Curitiba.

The flag of Palotina was designed by Arthur Luponi.
White is a symbol of peace, friendship, loyalty, truth, purity, happiness, beauty, integrity, fairness and frankness. The Latin cross is the symbol of the Christian faith, represented in red, white and blue colors, counter-changed in three stripes.
Red is the symbol of valor, dominance, magnanimity, victory, honor, and charity. White is the symbol of peace, friendship, loyalty, and truth. Blue is the symbol of justice, perseverance, zeal, perfection, and dignity.
The five-pointed blue star symbolically represents the municipality of Palotina.
