About the Flag of Sabaudia

The flag has a striped field (four each green and white) with the coat of arms on a square white canton. The coat of arms is classically heraldic and can be blazoned in English as quarterly or and vert, overall an escutcheon gules a cross argent within a bordure azure. The inescutcheon is that of the Kingdom of Italy and presumably implies an Italian connection; many areas of Paraná were settled by Italian immigrants in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
