The flag of the Municipality of Santiago del Estero in Department of Capital is described at https://www.santiagociudad.gov.ar/ciudad.

Translated by Google:

White cloth that, due to its color, represents purity, peace and parliament. Its proportions are: the height equals two thirds of the length. It has a golden stripe inside, forming a gold-colored rectangle, which due to its geometric shape represents straightness on all four sides and due to its color it symbolizes that of the sun, the first Argentine heraldic dignity, symbol of nobility and generosity, splendor, sovereignty, love, joy and constancy; whose proportions are one twentieth of the height.

In the center of it are the arms or shield given to us on February 19, 1577 by King Don Felipe II, who is from Gulea: a square gold castle, hammered with saber, illuminated with azure with three poorly arranged scallops; of silver, terraced with sinple with three alternating waves of silver and azure, a motto, in a light blue ribbon 'Very Noble City', all stamped by the crown that the municipality regularly uses to establish a sense of intelligence.

The tie and strap to carry it are white and outlined in gold. The Cuja: three alternating stripes, the central one, white, equal to one third of the height (top) and ends in two golden edges equal to one sixth of the total. The Tie raises the inscription 'Mother of Cities'.

The Flag is raised on its own mast, which is made of carob wood, topped with a lily flower at its tip or shaft. It is used in communal buildings and in official events organized by the Municipality and in sessions of the Deliberative Council.
