Jackson Township (37,744 inhabitants in 2000: 9,610 ha) is one of the seventeen townships of Stark County. There are another 36 Jackson Townships in Ohio.

On 14 July 2010, Tammy Proctor reports in "The Suburbanite", with photo, the unveiling of the flag of Jackson Township. The final flag design is more elaborate than reported by Valentin. The flag is shaped like the Ohio flag, purple, with a yellow border and the township logo placed near the hoist.

Quoting the article:

Many years ago Judy Haas wanted Jackson Township to have its own flag. Jackson High student Aaron Strickland thought he could coordinate a contest for the township. Haas' dream and Strickland's drive coupled with the designs of Troy Hankins and Anthony Pizzino lead to a reality as the Jackson Township trustees and fiscal officer presented silk flags to the foursome. [...]

Last summer, as the streetscape project neared completion, [fiscal officer] Gonzalez reminded the trustees Judy Haas wanted to do a township-based contest to design a flag to represent Jackson Township. The streetscape includes light posts with flag and banner brackets.

In the fall, Aaron Strickland, a student at Jackson High School, responded to Gonzalez's contest idea. Strickland said he would coordinate the contest with the schools. From among 116 entries, trustees John Pizzino, Bill Burger and James Walter and Gonzalez selected two designs by Troy Hankins and Anthony Pizzino, who were both Jackson Middle School students at the time of the contest.[...]

During the July 12 meeting, trustees presented Jackson Township flags to Judy Haas, Aaron Strickland, Troy Hankins and Anthony Pizzino."
The flag is shown, graphically, on the bottom of the township's homepage. A photo of the flag hoisted in Jackson Township is shown by Cantonrep.com
