Description of the flag

The newly adopted flag of Lee's Summit. At a Flag Week ceremony in June 2014, Mayor Randy Rhoads said of the flag, "To the untrained eye ... it is green, but to the more refined, it is olive. That color represents character, environmental well-being, safety, all excellent traits for our vibrant community." The flag is three bars of olive green, white, and olive green, with the two olive green bars each equal to one-quarter the height of the flag. In the center of the white bar is the city logo, which features the white, stylized, interlocking letters "L" and "S" on an olive green square.
