The Flag

The arms of Bjuv show a mine torch, on a pale which is symbolizing a mine shaft. The arms is of course meant to show the mining industry of the commune.
Elias Granqvist

There has been no mining in Bjuv since the end of World War II.

Flag Variant

[Bjuv]
image by Tomislav Šipek, 14 March 2016

According to the photo, inscription should be black, not grey, and the pale charged with the torch should be white, just as in the image - the fact that it looks darker is due to the shadows.
Tomislav Todorović, 11 March 2016

For inscription I think you are right, but for pale my opinion is: grey not white.
Tomislav Šipek, 11 March 2016

That is quite possible - it is difficult to distinguish between a white field in shadow and an area intended to be grey.
Tomislav Todorović, 11 March 2016

Here is corrected "white" flag of Bjuv.
