About the flag

It is a quite typical portuguese municipal flag, with the coat of arms centered on a gyronny background (city rank) of red and yellow. This is the flag in use since after the upgrading of the municipality seat to city status, in 1988.02.01, dully confirmed (for there were no significant changes) by CHAAP in 1999.04.19.
