Coat of arms

Shield Argent, with base wavy of Azure and Argent, walking on water, St. John the Baptist, nimbed Or, dressed Gules and in fur Maron, holding a baton Sable, topped by a cross, in his right hand, and a scallop Or in his left hand. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "SÃO JOÃO DE REI".
