About the Flag

It is a mere approx. 2:3 white cloth with the arms of the three pre-2013 communes on it, the arms of Izeda in the middle, closer to the top, the other two lower: the arms of Calvelhe at the hoist, and the arms of Paradinha Nova at the fly. Photographic evidence shows that the reverse of the flag is the obverse's mirror image, with unreadable text, an unavoidable feature of screen printing on thin fabric.
This design matches the continued use of the three arms and may be seen as temporary: Either awaiting official, unified symbols, or hoping for the undoing of (some of) the 2013 commune mergers.
This flag design is utterly unacceptable for the Comissão de Heráldica da Associação dos Arqueólogos Portugueses (CHAAP), for which a single coat of arms for each commune is a fundamental requirement.
It has, and it was not a golden moment in vexillography. Behold this photo from July 2015, showing it in very official use in a public event, along with the municipal flag and national flag, by the hand of the communal government president.

Shield Vert, an olive tree eradicated Argent fruited Sable, flanked by two wheat garbs Or tied Gules, in chief a rose Or seeded Gules. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "IZEDA".
Available imagery suggests that the arms in use included a depiction of the scroll that had already fell out of use in 1999, stemming probably from a much earlier image, that had been circulated long before the officialization of the arms. This resembles the "normal", most usual scroll, used nowadays for longer toponyms (even though "Izeda" is quite short), e.g. here with golden scroll or here with white scroll. My image makes use of the most usual scroll design, lacking, for now, more specific information.
