Arms and flag were adopted on September 19, 2000 (resolution # XVI/128/2000) and confirmed by the addendum of June 26, 2008.
"Arms: shield divided into four fields.
Right upper field contains thee golden mining tools: a hammer in the middle and hoe and pickaxe on its sides. All on a light-blue background.
The second, left field, shows a crowned white eagle (Jagiellonian) - a Coat of Arms of Małopolskie Voivodship, on red background.
Third, lower right field shows another white eagle (Piast - Casimir the Great) on red background.
Fourth field features on light-blue background nine stones of gold color."
