Coat of Arms

[COA of Eide]
image by Tomislav Šipek, 01 February 2016

Blazon: I blått tre svømmende sølv svaner, to over en.
In English: Azure three swans argnet nainant wings displayed.
Approwed by the royal resolution of 9 July 1982 after a drawing by Jarle Skuseth [c2j87]
The design represents the fauna of the local lakes. Since Gjøvik already got a swan in its arms, Eide chose three of them. Seven feather on their wings symbolise seven towns of the municipality.
