[COA of Nes]
image by Tomislav Šipek, 01 December 2015

Blazon: I grønt tre kvistede gull trestammer stilt i trepass. In English: Vert three trunks raguly or in pall.
Approved by the royal resolution of 18 March 1988 after a drawing by Harald Hallstensen.
The municipal web site states that the green colour represents youth and hope, also associate the arms with primary industries and links with past and present.
In a somewhat more sensible words similar is said at http://www.ngw.nl/heraldrywiki/index.php?title=Nes_%28Akershus%29
The arms show tree trunks for the importance of forestry to the municipality. The position of the logs represents the meeting of the rivers Glomma and Vorma, creating the Nes peninsula.
