Overview

Venta (Akmene District) - on blue field reverse narrowed concave silver chevron and three golden flames one over two. Flag proportions 10:13, free edges bordered with silver rope, finial is golden knob with silver bands. Flames mean lime-burning, the traditional local business. The chevron means the initial letter V of name of town.

Venta Eldership (Ventos seniunija) is one of six elderships in Akmene District. Administrative center is Town of Venta. Flag of the colors of the coat of arms: in an azure field, an inverted narrow, somewhat concave silver rafter and three golden flames, one above and two below. Free edges are outlined with a silver cord. The ratio of height and length is 10:13. Approved by the Decree of the President of Lithuania No. 555 Lithuania of August 9, 1999. Author of symbols: Raimondas Miknevicius. The flames symbolize the traditional craft of lime burning. The rafter signifies the first letter V of the city's name. Venta Eldership has 4 sub-elderships: Draugystes, Venta Rural, Venta Urban, and Žerkšciai. No symbols known.
