Tana River County is located in the former Coastal Province in the south of Kenya. It is named after the Tana River which flows through the county.

Description of the flag

The county flag has an unusual design with the county arms on  a white background at the hoist. The white stripe narrows to form a thin strip in the fly.  A thin green stripe above the arms at the hoist widens to form a broader strip in the fly, while below the arms a thin red stripe also follows a similar pattern.
